A Letter from Mirna
Muchas gracias.
Mirna y obdulio Rivas.

Hello, my name is Mirna, and the reason for this letter is to request financial assistance, as my husband, Obdulio Rivas, has been summoned to appear before immigration authorities and could be deported. However, there is a possible way for him to remain in the country and continue being part of this community, which he has always been willing to help through his volunteer work.
The first time we received the letter summoning him to appear, I felt fear and deep sadness because we have three children: one from my first marriage, another from his marriage, and the third, who is the fruit of our love. The reason for my deep sadness is that my first husband was deported when my son Eliel was only 10 months old, and from that age until he was 16, he grew up without a father to help him grow and develop. My son suffered greatly without his father; he grew up shy and was often bullied at school by teachers and classmates. I always did my best to be there for him and support him, but as a single mother, I had to work a lot and leave my son in the care of other people.
Most of the time. As a result, the development of HDAD, aside from the fact that he got sick a lot due to life's circumstances. That, in short, happened with Eliel, but Gian, Obdulio's son, has also suffered bullying at school and has the same problem as with HdAD, and he's still a 12-year-old boy who will suffer terribly if his father is deported. And now there's Emir, a baby who is only 1 year and 5 months old, who loves his father deeply and is the reason for my greatest worry and sadness, because if his father is deported, he would suffer the same fate as my older son: growing up without his father and losing the family he has now. That's why we're asking for your help, because we are a low-income family and the lawyer who will be handling our case is expensive.
I hope your hearts will be touched and you can support us. Thank you very much.
